Manchester Beer and Cider Festival

The sub text of this blog is beer, food, photographs. I don’t tend to focus much on beer and food, but here’s an opportunity to combine beer and photography.

My low profile over the last two weeks has been as a result of my involvement in the newly created Manchester Beer and Cider Festival. This is funded by CAMRA but organised and run by Camra volunteers.

This year we were at a new venue, the charismatic Velodrome, where Team GB train – and indeed trained throughout the festival.
I had set out to take a series of panoramas as the festival bars were built and stacked with beer, but crucially on the final set up day, I forgot my SLR.

This shot therefore was taken on my iPhone. It’s actually worked out quite nicely, producing a fisheye effect, which is quite dramatic.
