Many things taking place recently, which have prevented me from blogging as much as I might. The allotment has now been “converted” to the bottom end of the garden and getting that into shape has taken some time.
However, I did manage to get out walking fairly regularly, not often in good weather.
Here’s an example of that. We were walking in the Derbyshire Peak district, crossing a dam to traverse a valley. This outfall from a high reservoir to a low one, caught my eye. I have no idea why it’s the shape it is, other than to maximise the ‘lip’ of the outfall.
It’s such a graceful shape and on one level, slightly MC Escher in its look.
